The Association of Child Neurology India is a network of professionals involved in the care of children with neurological ailments. It was established with the objective of improving and achieving excellence in the field of child neurology in India through national and international teaching, training, academic exchange and interaction amongst the child neurologists of our country.

AOCN was founded in the year 2004 by a small group of Pediatricians who were interested in the field of child neurology and who perceived the need of an association which would further the growth of child neurology in India. It was registered as a society in 2005 by a group of child neurologists lead by Prof. Veena Kalra, Head, Department of Pediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Vice President Dr Pratibha Singhi, Advanced Pediatric Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh and with Prof. Satinder Aneja, Department of Pediatrics, Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi as its first secretary. The last few years has seen a great growth in the child neurology community in India and consequently AOCN.
